This famous phrase from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet: 'What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet' makes me wonder if literature and language are that easy to undermine.
The identity of an entire being can be effaced by simply changing the name. Is it so?
Anyway, this was about Starbucks baristas asking, “Ma’am what is your name” and every damn time I go blank. I have no idea why. Yesterday only, I went to Starbucks and when they asked me my name I blurted “POGO”
It is so funny because another time I said Champa, while I was with a friend and he just looked at me probably wondering, “What is this woman. Why is this woman”
I am just wondering what my date at Starbucks gonna be like? Will the guy run away rolling his eyes with “What is this crazy” :p
Do you give your real names to baristas and if so…HOW?
Sometimes I get overwhelmed with a simple question of naming myself in a cafe and choke. Gotta being my best friend to order for me. 😂
